Overview
Adding a RightExpress Client
- To add a RightExpress client, navigate to the Advisor Portal > '+ Add a New Client' section, then use the dropdown arrow to select Add a new Express Client.
Enter the client’s First Name, Last Name, and Email Address, then select one of the following Express Modules: Social Security, Retirement, Debt, Risk, Tasks, or Vault. Apply a RightExpress Template to include multiple modules in the initial setup.
To invite your client to complete data entry or view the selected module, click 'Invite your client to start'. To begin without inviting the client, click 'Start' instead.
Identifying Express vs. Full PlanningAn Express client plan is marked with a ⚡️ symbol to the left of the client’s name, or you can confirm the plan type by checking Overview > Planning Type.
Express Access

Express Modules
Social Security
- Client: Enter name, date of birth, planning horizon, and resident state for the client.
- Co-client: The Co-client card, pre-filled by default, has the same fields except for the resident state. Click it to enter the second client’s info.
- Add additional participants: To add more household members, click the blue 'Add Participant' button in the top right to include children, grandchildren, or others.
- Retirement: Start with the Retirement Age card to set the client's and co-client's retirement ages.
- Salary: Enter Salary details.
- Client and Co-client Social Security: Input the client’s Social Security info.

Step 3: Review
The Review tab features our Social Security Optimization module, which showcases the power of optimized withdrawal strategies to help maximize your client’s assets over time. With over 700 built-in filing strategies, it simplifies a complex process and helps you deliver more confident, data-driven recommendations.
- The Comparison tab within the Social Security module tool allows you to directly compare any two filing strategies, and examine both the annual and cumulative income amounts. You can select the two filing strategies you wish to compare using the drop-down menus at the top right of the graph.
By selecting the dropdown arrow at the top, you can switch to a cumulative cash flow comparison, which displays the break-even point between the selected filing dates. - The Summary tab will show you the total lifetime income received for each filing strategy. Hover your mouse over the bar chart to see the total income for each individual strategy. The key metric to the right of the chart will highlight the cumulative total income for the Optimal strategy.

Retirement

Step 3: Review
The Review tab includes both the Retirement Probability and Confidence tabs:
- Retirement Probability: This tab displays the client’s probability of success, allows you to curate various proposed plans and what-if scenarios, and enables direct comparison between the client’s current plan and proposed alternatives.
The information entered on Step 2 is reflected here as the client's "Current Plan". Using the Action Items at the bottom of the page, you can adjust a client's income, savings, expenses, goals, and more to curate a "Proposed Plan" for comparison. RightCapital runs both plans through a Monte Carlo simulation to project a probability of success and median ending invested asset value. - Retirement Confidence: This tab provides a visual representation of the Monte Carlo analysis, reflecting the range of outcomes throughout the projection. Hovering your mouse over the chart allows you to see invested asset values for each year:
Debt

- Add additional participants: To add more household members, click the blue 'Add Participant' button in the top right to include children, grandchildren, or others.
Enter all Credit Card and Loan information including current balances, monthly/minimum payments, interest rates, and more. Additional credit cards and loans can be added by selecting the 'Add >' option.

Step 3: Review
This review section highlights our Debt module:
- The Strategy Tab is where you can curate a Proposed Payment Strategy for a client, and compare your strategy to the client's current debt payment strategy.
- The Payment Tab is where you can find a proposed breakdown of each loan in the plan, providing you with crucial details such as interest rate, minimum payment, etc.
- The Details Tab allows you to view the amortization schedules for each loan in the Proposed Payment Strategy on an annual or monthly basis.

Risk

- Add additional participants: To add more household members, click the blue 'Add Participant' button in the top right to include children, grandchildren, or others.
Assign a Risk Assessment. This can be completed by the client through their own login, or through your login by selecting the Risk Assessment card.
Enter invested assets across Taxable, Tax-Deferred, and Tax-Free accounts. Define how these assets are allocated using the default Equity/Fixed Income split.

- The Risk Summary tab shows the Household Risk score, in relation to the Current Portfolio risk score and a chosen Target Portfolio risk score.
- The Risk Comparison tab shows the Household Risk score, in relation to the Current Portfolio risk score, a chosen Target Portfolio risk score, and the risk scores of three specific asset classes: money market, corporate bonds, and large growth.
- The Household Risk Classification tab shows the Household Risk score, in relation to your advisor-specific Risk Tolerance Categories.
Tasks

- Add additional participants: To add more household members, click the blue 'Add Participant' button in the top right to include children, grandchildren, or others.
The Task module helps you stay connected and keep prospects moving forward. Assign clear, actionable items between meetings to reinforce your value and maintain momentum.
- Use the '➕ Add Task' button to create a single task with a due date, frequency, priority, and description.
Mark tasks as complete, edit them, or delete them as needed.

Vault

Vault storage provides you and your clients with an easily accessible, highly secure location to share documents and other files, directly within a client's financial plan. Each client's vault will consist of two subfolders: the Shared Folder, and the Private Folder:
- The Shared folder is where you and your clients can share documents and other files with one another. This folder is accessible when viewing the plan from the advisor perspective, as well as from the client perspective. Any files uploaded here will be seen by both you and the client.
- The Private folder is where you and your clients can upload private documents. Any documents uploaded here will only be seen by you. The client will also have a separate private folder where they can upload documents; you will not see those documents.
Express Reports
- Open the Express plan and select the Gear Icon > Reports to select which RightExpress Modules you would like to include in the report.
- Within the Gear Icon > Reports area, you can drag-and-drop the modules to customize the order of the PDF that will be generated:

Express Templates
Templates allow you to save a particular Express plan layout for quick and easy use in the future. Utilizing Express templates is a great way to create efficiency and consistency in your financial plans.

Express Client Groups
How to Access Client Groups
- Click the “...” (More) icon in the top navigation of the advisor portal.
- Select Client Settings > Client Groups.
Create a New Express Group
- Click the ➕ Group icon.
Enter a name for your new group.
- Click Generate to create a unique sign-up link for the group. Clients who use this link will be added to this group by default.
- Click Edit to choose which Express Modules the group will have access to.
Save your changes.

Client View
When a client is invited as an Express client, they’ll see a landing page upon login. This page includes:
- A default welcome message, which you can customize in the Gear Icon > Account > Customization > Express Client Messaging.
- All Express modules that the client has access to.
- A progress bar for each module, indicating how far along the client is in completing that module.
Module Status Indicators:
- Explore Now – The client has not yet entered any information in the module.
- Progress Bar – Highlights the current step the client is on within the module.
- View Results – Indicates the client has completed all data entry and can now view the results within the module.

Updating Express Client Messaging

"To get started, follow the steps within the module(s) to tell us about yourself and your needs for the future. When you first begin, share key details about you and your family members to personalize your experience. Next, review the data entry tiles by clicking on them and completing the requested fields. Give each tile a descriptive title to help organize your information, and hover over info icons for helpful tips."
Transition Express Plan to Full Planning Client
When your client engagement shifts from a lighter Express approach to a more comprehensive planning relationship, you can easily transition a client from an Express plan to Full Planning.
