What integrating with Redtail does for you

Integrating with Redtail allows household contact information from Redtail to sync into RightCapital. Contact information, including names and date of birth, will be connected. At this time RightCapital does not retrieve any account information from Redtail. For information on using the single sign-on into Redtail from RightCapital click here.

How to set up your Redtail integration

Navigate to Advisor Portal > Integrations > Redtail.

Enter your login credentials to Redtail

Click Connect – voila! You’re integrated!

How to use the Redtail integration

Once the integration is set up, you can begin importing contacts from Redtail. To do this, click the Import/Link Options button and select one of the following options:

Import Tag Groups

To add contacts from an existing Tag group in Redtail, enter the Tag group names into the search box. Once you've selected the desired groups, click the Import button.

Import Clients

To add one or more contacts from Redtail, select Import Clients. In the search box, type part of the client’s last name, then click the client’s name to include them in the import. After selecting all desired clients, click the blue Import button.


If you have a client in RightCapital who was not originally imported from Redtail but you’d like to link them to an existing Redtail contact, you can use the Link a Client option.

Select the client in RightCapital from the dropdown menu, then enter the last name of the corresponding Redtail contact. Once both names are selected, click the blue Link button. This will link the clients, but no contact data will be overwritten until the client is manually synced from the Manage Clients page.

Updating Client Information from Redtail

Easily keep your client records up to date by syncing information directly from Redtail. Click on the Manage Integration button and select from the following options:

Manage clients

To see all imported and linked clients in Redtail, click on Manage Clients. From there, you can choose to sync or disconnect individual clients as needed.

Sync

If any information in Redtail has been updated, click Sync to update all the latest household data in RightCapital at once. This includes changes to contacts, addresses, emails, and phone numbers.

Disconnect the Integration

To disconnect the integration, go to the Advisor Portal, click on the “...” menu, then select Integrations > Manage Integration, and choose Disconnect Integration.
