Within the Investment > Risk > Summary tab of each client plan, RightCapital will calculate and display a risk score for the client's current portfolio.
By default, any annuities in the plan will not be included in the current portfolio risk score calculation. You can choose to include annuities in this calculation by clicking into the Action Items > Edit drawer, and checking the box next to the annuity:
If you choose to include annuities in the current portfolio risk score calculation, be particularly mindful of how those annuities are allocated. Even for non-variable annuities, RightCapital will look to the standard deviation of the annuity's asset allocation when calculating risk score.
As a reminder, you can double-check and adjust your annuity allocation by navigating to the Profile > Net Worth section, choosing the annuity from the list of Investments, and then clicking the "Asset Allocation" button:
