Why do my client's student loans show a balance throughout the entire plan?

This typically occurs when a value is not entered for the standard 10 yr payment. Many income-driven repayment plans are capped at this value, and if the standard 10 year payment is set to $0, the income-based repayment plans will be capped at that amount. You can update this value in the Profile > Net Worth section:
