1

How often does RightCapital update the default return assumptions?

Answer: RightCapital updates return assumptions on annually after reviewing the prior years historical return data. We email our advisors every year with new return assumptions in Q1, but RightCapital will NOT automatically update return data for advisors. Updating the return assumption will have immediate impact on all clients within the associated advisor's list.

2

Why are my asset return assumptions locked?

Answer: If you are a member of an advisory team that has decided to control asset return assumptions at the firm level, you will not have the ability to adjust asset return assumptions. For questions on the asset return assumptions that are set by your advisory team, please reach out to your firm's super administrator.

3

How can I adjust volatility assumptions?

Answer: Only Platinum subscription holders have the ability to adjust volatility assumptions for each asset class. If you wish to upgrade to a Platinum subscription at RightCapital please reach out to Sales@RigthCapital.com.

4

Can I create new asset classes in addition to the defaults?

Answer: Only Platinum subscription holders have the ability to add custom asset classes in RightCapital. Asset classes are stored at the firm level, so only one advisor from each firm will have the ability to create new custom asset classes. For more information about creating custom asset classes click here. If you wish to upgrade to a Platinum subscription at RightCapital please reach out to Sales@RigthCapital.com.

5

How are investments entered in the client plan tied to asset classes?

Answer: RightCapital uses Morningstar to classify investments entered into the client's Net Worth into the broad asset classes listed in the Advisor Portal > Assumptions > Return Assumptions area. If holdings are not available in Morningstar they will be mapped to the "other" asset class.
