RightCapital mobile app functionality


RightCapital's mobile app is your client’s financial home base. With your excellent advising to steer the way, it comes fully stocked with everything an anxious client may need to find peace of mind.

Clients can download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and see a comprehensive view of their finances at any point, right on their phone. They can log in to the app using the ID and password they use to access RightCapital –just be sure you give clients access to RightCapital.

Once clients log in to the app, they will see it  branded with your logo and colors.

Clients can navigate through the app by clicking on the various options at the bottom of the screen. The options will only be available if you have  granted clients access to the corresponding screens from the web app on the Client Access screen, so you can customize what the client sees in the app.

You cannot log in to the client app using your advisor login.

We encourage you to set up a client account with a separate email address that you can use to review the app features if you wish.

The Dashboard screen shows the client’s net worth and lists client accounts. Clients can see their bank and investment accounts, credit cards and other loans. Clicking on each account will bring up details about the account, including holding details for investment accounts.

If you have given clients access to the Retirement Analysis screen, clients will also see the probability of success associated with the client’s proposed plan on the Dashboard, between their Net Worth summary and the account details.

Click the “ +” sign in the upper-right hand corner of the Dashboard or Budget screens, or click Link More Accounts at the bottom of the Dashboard screen to link more accounts directly from the app.

To link accounts:

  1. Type in the name of the financial institution into the search bar at the top of the screen
  2. Select the correct site to link. (be sure the check the URL)
  3. Enter credentials for that institution to link the account. If additional information such as a multi-factor authentication code is required a prompt will appear.

Once the account has been linked it will display on the Dashboard screen.

Account Not Synced?

If there are any issues with linking the account, clients will have the opportunity to click Fix Account to re-enter their credentials.


After clients have linked bank accounts or credit cards (whether via the app or a browser), they can see budgeting information on the Budget screen. Transactions are summarized and can also be viewed in detail. Different categories of transactions can be seen by clicking on Expenses / Income / Other / Net options near the top of the screen.

They can dig into transactions by clicking on any of the categories below the chart. Selecting an individual transaction allows them to re-categorize the transaction and/or update the description.


The Investment tab displays overall investment accounts by asset category. This includes any linked accounts and any accounts that you or the client may have entered manually.


Tasks are a fantastic way to be sure the ball keeps rolling and to ensure your client remains engaged with the value of your advising. Add tasks for your clients, and they will be able to see the tasks on the Tasks screen. Clicking on the task reveals details and clicking on the radio button next to the task completes the tasks. Completed tasks can be seen by clicking on the option at top. A mobile app push notification will be sent to the client when tasks are assigned.

Clients can see your contact information on the My Team screen. To remain highly available to your clients, add your phone number on your Profile screen (in your Advisor Portal).Your clients can click the green phone button to call you directly, or click on the green email button to automatically send you an email.
